WINTER HAVEN. Fla. – A 62-year-old Winter Haven man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.

Floyd Hintteon Green, Jr., 62, was found guilty on September 6, 2023, following a bench trial.

According to court documents, on December 28, 2022, detectives with the Winter Haven Police Department pulled over Green’s vehicle for a window tint violation.

During a consensual search of the vehicle, detectives found a black toiletry bag containing 442 grams of high-purity methamphetamine.

Green admitted to possessing the methamphetamine and that he sold it for about $2,600 per pound. 

The Drug Enforcement Administration and the Winter Haven Police Department investigated this case. Assistant United States Attorneys David W.A. Chee and Samantha J. Newman prosecuted it.
