WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. – A 17-year-old Wesley Chapel boy has died after being struck by a vehicle Saturday around 10:11 pm.
Troopers say an SUV, believed to be a dark-colored 2014-2016 model Nissan Pathfinder, was traveling westbound on Chancey Road.
At the intersection of Bellmeade Court, a 17-year-old Wesley Chapel boy was walking across the roadway in a marked crosswalk.

The vehicle’s driver failed to yield and struck the pedestrian, who suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
Following the collision, the vehicle fled the crash scene without stopping to render aid.
