Cellphone video captured the moment when a passenger on a United Airlines flight threatened to “kill every man on this plane” before attacking a flight attendant with a broken metal spoon.
Francisco Severo Torres, 33, was on board a United Airlines flight from Los Angeles when a flight attendant believed he had tried to tamper with the emergency exit door, according to the U.S. attorney’s office for Massachusetts.
In the footage below, Francisco Severo Torres, 33, screams from his seat then stands up, walks toward the crew members, and appears to lunge at a flight attendant. Several passengers rush at him o stop the attack.

Lisa Olsen, who filmed the video, told NBC Boston that Torres seemed to be “visibly upset” and threatened that there was going to be a “bloodbath.”
“He was visibly upset,” passenger Lisa Olsen recounted to NBC10 Boston. She captured video of the passenger shouting threatening language. “He was saying that he was Balthazar, that his father was Dracula, he was going to kill all the men on the plane. There was going to be a blood bath, he was asking where Homeland Security was.”
“So many, many men on that plane just got up and, you know, went right after him,” she said.
Torres has been charged with a count of interference and attempted interference with flight crew members and attendants using a dangerous weapon.
