Throughout his long public career, former President Donald Trump has demonstrated that his brand is about more than office buildings, golf courses, and hotels.

Trump has hawked Trump-branded books, steaks, wine, chocolates, and even a board game.

Against this backdrop, Trump added to his product line over the weekend, unveiling a new line of sneakers that retails for nearly $400 a pair.

According to Breitbart News, the presumed 2024 Republican nominee appeared on Saturday in Philadelphia at “Sneaker Con,” which bills itself as “The Greatest Sneaker Show on Earth.”

There, Trump showed off his new shoe line, which reflected his brash and gaudy brand.

Breitbart described the shoes as “shiny gold high tops with an American flag detail on the back.”

They were billed as “Never Surrender High-Tops,” and were available on a new Trump website that also sells other Trump-branded merch including other styles of shoes and “Victory47” cologne and perfume that fetches $99 a bottle.

The Trump-branded high tops go for $399 a pair.

“There’s a lot of emotion in this room,” Trump said as he displayed the shoes to Sneaker Con-goers, the Associated Press reported.

“This is something that I’ve been talking about for 12 years, 13 years. And I think it’s going to be a big success,” he said.

The shoes were available at a website called GetTrumpSneakers.com.

Breitbart noted that the website describes the shoes as limited-edition and numbered,m which makes them a “true collector’s item,” meaning “Bold, gold, and tough, just like President Trump.”

Forbes reported that the 1,000 pairs made for the limited run were gone in less than two hours.

The operators of the website, CIC Ventures LLC, assert that they are not political and not affiliated with Trump’s campaign or organization. They license his likeness in order to sell products.

CIC Ventures’ website also features two low-top models of sneakers: one being a white shoe called the “POTUS 45” and a red version called the “T-Red Wave.”

They sell for $199 each.
