MONROE COUNTY, Fla.- Two men were arrested Thursday on multiple drug charges following a traffic stop in the Florida Keys.
Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a truck near Mile Marker 96 on U.S. 1 after observing it failing to maintain its lane and impeding traffic. The driver, 21-year-old Joshua Gomez of Hialeah, and the passenger, 23-year-old Cristian Isai Perez of West Park, were found to be in possession of various drugs.

Drugs Found During Search
A search of the vehicle revealed a strong odor of marijuana and led to the discovery of:
- Alprazolam (Xanax)
- Quetiapine (Seroquel)
- Buprenorphine (Suboxone)
- Synthetic cannabinoid
Charges Filed
Perez was charged with possession of all four substances without a prescription. Gomez was charged with DUI, tampering with evidence, and possession of buprenorphine without a prescription.
