Three Arrested In Connection With Morning Sarasota Shooting

SARASOTA, Fla. – The Sarasota Police Department has apprehended three individuals following a shooting incident in North Sarasota on Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 5 a.m. in the 1800 block of 29th Street, where a juvenile victim was found with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The injured juvenile was promptly transported to the hospital for treatment.

The suspects arrested in connection with the shooting are:

  • Antorri Smith, 14, charged with attempted murder with a firearm.
  • Jaylon Williams, 15, charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a church and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Fatima Williams, 36, charged with child neglect, possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a church, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
