ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – St. Petersburg Police have arrested 19-year-old Jha’Quel Maynor for the murder of 54-year-old Otis Moore.
Officers responded to a suspicious death call at a home on 51st Avenue South on Wednesday afternoon. Upon arrival, they discovered Moore deceased inside the residence with blunt force trauma to his upper body.

An investigation revealed that Maynor, who lived at the home with his mother and Moore (who were in a relationship), had an argument with Moore that escalated into violence, resulting in Moore’s death.
Maynor has been charged with first-degree murder. The investigation is ongoing.
