TAMPA, Fla. – Due to a change in the requested work requirements, the Water Department has canceled the scheduled restoration work that was to be done today.

The staff and crews of the Tampa Water Department appreciate everyone’s patience during this time.

Earlier, we reported that the outside southbound lane of South 50th Street, between St. Paul Street and South 31st Avenue, will be closed starting at 10:30 a.m. today due to ongoing restoration work by the Tampa Water Department.

This closure will be necessary following earlier repairs to a water main break in the area.

The lane closure was expected to last until 5:00 p.m. today, but the work schedule may be adjusted due to weather conditions.
