TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police are actively investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Prince Jewelry within WestShore Plaza Mall on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, just before noon.

The two suspects, armed with a sledgehammer and pepper spray, smashed jewelry cases and threatened store employees and security personnel before fleeing with stolen merchandise.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. The suspects escaped in a silver Chevy Malibu, likely a newer model with a sunroof and tinted windows, parked near Dick’s Sporting Goods.

The vehicle did not have a license plate.

Both suspects wore facial coverings, dark-colored pants and shoes, long-sleeved shirts, and gloves at the time of the robbery.

Tampa Police detectives urge anyone with information about the incident or the suspects to contact the non-emergency number at 813-231-6130 or submit an anonymous tip through Tip411 via the TampaPD app.
