Tampa Police are currently looking the suspect who stole a 2011 black Kia Optima 4-door with an 11-month-old child inside from the 2500 block of Siesta Ct. after the mother exited the car.

TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police are currently looking the suspect who stole a 2011 black Kia Optima 4-door with an 11-month-old child inside from the 2500 block of Siesta Ct. after the mother exited the car.

The child was recovered minutes later, unharmed, inside the vehicle which was abandoned in the area of E. Wilder Ave and N. Jamaica St., less than a mile from where it was stolen. Mother and child were reunited.

Tampa Police are still in the area, searching for the suspect who was described as a young black female in, her late teens to early twenties, and reported to be wearing a black jacket or long-sleeved shirt and light-colored shorts.
