TAMPA, Fla. - A man is dead, and a suspect is on the run after a shooting in a Tampa neighborhood Tuesday.

TAMPA, Fla. – A man is dead, and a suspect is on the run after a shooting in a Tampa neighborhood Tuesday.

Tampa Police responded to the report of a shooting in the 800 block of E. Yukon St just after 6:00 pm Tuesday evening.

Officers arrived to find an adult black male in his late 20s deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.

The suspect was described as a black male in his late 50s-early 60’s, approximately 6’3″, 150 pounds, with graying hair. The suspect was seen riding a bicycle as he fled east from the shooting.

“Although early in the investigation, preliminary information suggests that both parties were known to each other and that this was not a random act,” said Tampa PD.       

Detectives are currently gathering evidence and working to develop leads that will aid in identifying and arresting the suspect in this case.
