TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police Officers responded to Hillsborough High School at approximately 1:27 p.m., following an anonymous 911 call stating there was a suspicious device at the high school.

The school was evacuated, and officers assigned to the Bomb Squad cleared the campus out of an abundance of caution.

At approximately 3:00 p.m., officers were able to confirm there was no credible threat, and students were allowed to return to the school for dismissal.

This remains an active investigation, police say.
