TAMPA, Fla. – U.S. District Judge Thomas P. Barber has sentenced Andre Pierrie, 26, of Tampa, to 8 years and ten months in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a felon, possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute, and possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Pierrie’s sentencing follows a February 2024 guilty plea stemming from a 2023 incident where he fled a traffic stop, discarding a Smith and Wesson .38 special revolver from his vehicle. Law enforcement later found methamphetamine and marijuana in the car.
