LAND O’ LAKES, Fla. – A 35-year-old Tampa man was killed in a crash on Ehren Cutoff Road on Land O’ Lakes Sunday.

Troopers say around 9:35 am Sunday, a Yamaha motorcycle, driven by a 35-year-old Tampa man, was traveling southbound on Ehren Cutoff Road at a high rate of speed. 

At the intersection of Tower Road, the rider lost control and departed the roadway.

Once on the shoulder, the motorcyclist, a 35-year-old Tampa man, struck a utility pole. 

The man was airlifted to an area hospital and died from injuries suffered during the crash.
