DADE CITY, Fla. – A Tampa man has died in a crash that happened around 11:52 am on Saturday in Dade City.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 55-year-old Tampa man was riding a Yamaha motorcycle southbound on Evergreen Court.

Troopers say north of Cummer Road, the rider lost control of the motorcycle for an unknown reason and collided with a Toyota RAV4, an unoccupied vehicle, in the parking area of the Cypress Manor residential community.

Transported to an area hospital, the motorcyclist later died from injuries suffered during the crash.
