TAMPA, Fla – On Monday around 8:50 pm, Tampa Fire Rescue crews were dispatched to a reported structure fire at Alessi Bakery in the 2900 Block of W. Cypress Street.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a single-story commercial bakery with fire coming from the back outside the refrigerator/freezer area. Firefighters deployed hose lines to extinguish the fire and prevented the fire from spreading to the primary portion of the business.
The building was unoccupied at the time of the fire, and no civilians or firefighters were injured.

The fire was under control within 25 minutes of the first responders’ arrival, and the Tampa Fire Marshal’s office is currently investigating the cause.
This was a single-alarm fire, and approximately 30 firefighters were dispatched.
