TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police are investigating a shooting where a stray bullet struck and injured a Wal-Mart worker.

Police say that around 3 AM Monday, as the Score’s Gentleman’s Club at 2310 N. Dale Mabry Hwy was letting out, two groups of subjects began shooting at each other.

No one was injured at the scene.

Subjects fled in vehicles and continued to exchange gunfire. While passing the Wal-Mart at 1505 N. Dale Mabry Hwy, a stray round struck a Wal-Mart employee who was sitting in front of the store.

The projectile did not penetrate the victim’s skin and he suffered a bruise.

Police say, the two groups appeared to target each other and this does not appear to be an act of random violence.
