ST. PETERSBURG, FL. – St. Pete Police are investigating a shooting that took place just before noon on Thursday.

Police say around 11:52 am Thursday, the SPPD Emergency Communications Center was alerted that someone had been shot in the 600 block of 34th Ave. S. 

Officers found one 17-year-old victim suffering non-life-threatening injuries.

There is no suspect in custody, but police believe the victim and suspect know each other.

Detectives are speaking with possible witnesses, but are asking anyone with information to come forward, by calling our non-emergency line at 727-893-7780.
