ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – With a potential storm looming over the area, the City of St. Petersburg has adjusted its sandbag distribution schedule to help residents protect their homes from possible flooding.

Key Changes:

  • The year-round sandbag site at the Pavement and Traffic Operations Building is now closed.
  • Full-service sandbag locations will be open on Friday, August 2, and Saturday, August 3, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., or as weather permits.
  • Self-service sandbag locations will also be available during the same timeframe.

Full-Service Sandbag Locations (August 2-4):

  • Lake Maggiore Park Shelter Area
  • Northeast Park East Baseball Field Parking Lot
  • Northwest Swimming Pool Parking Lot Park

Self-Service Sandbag Locations (August 2-4):

  • Dell Homes Park
  • Fossil Park Northern Most Parking Lot
  • Walter Fuller Soccer Field Parking Lot

Important Reminders:

  • Each household can receive up to 10 sandbags.
  • Proof of residency is required.
  • Staff will assist seniors and those needing help at full-service locations only.
