ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A 67-year-old St. Petersburg man died after a crash that happened while he was in a wheelchair around 9:00 pm on Tuesday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a pickup truck was traveling southbound on 28th Street North, south of 46th Terrace North.
Troopers say the pickup collided with a man heading south, in the middle of the roadway, in a wheelchair, with no lights or reflective equipment.

The pedestrian, the 67-year-old St. Petersburg man, suffered fatal injuries at the crash scene.
