PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – A 60-year-old St. Petersburg man was killed after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Ulmerton Road in Largo on Friday night.

The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. at the intersection of Ulmerton Road and CR-611. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was walking north across the highway in a crosswalk when he was struck by a westbound Nissan Versa.

The driver of the Versa, a 44-year-old man from Indian Harbor Beach, had a green light at the time of the collision.

Sadly, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
