ST. PETERSBURG, FL. – A St. Petersburg Police Department Traffic Section investigation concluded today on Friday, with the arrest of Kardell Bernard Brown, 17, for a fatal traffic crash on June 20, 2021.

Brown was driving a 2013 Infinity at a high rate of speed and in a reckless manner with four teenagers inside headed northbound on 34th Street South when a 2012 Toyota driven Mary E. Rohan entered the path of the Infinity and they crashed. Rohan was pronounced dead on the scene. All five teens survived.

Now Brown faces charges of vehicular homicide and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, causing death.
