LAKE WALES, Fla. – A 42-year-old Sebring man has been arrested after robbing a Lake Wales Bank of America Tuesday.
On March 12, 2024, at approximately 11:04 am, Dennis T. Davis, a 42-year-old Sebring man, entered the Bank of America located at 1100 E HWY 60. Davis approached a teller at the bank, indicating he had a firearm in his jacket pocket, which he pointed at the teller.
After demanding and receiving money from the teller, Davis fled on foot westbound with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Members of the Lake Wales Police Department, along with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, established a perimeter.
A Lake Wales Police Canine began tracking the suspect near CVS, which is across the road from Bank of America.
The K9 team located Davis hiding in thick vegetation on Palmetto Avenue. Davis was located wearing the clothing witnesses described when he committed the robbery and was in possession of an undisclosed amount of cash.

Witnesses from the incident positively identified Davis as the suspect who committed the robbery. When Davis was taken into custody, he did not have a gun in his possession. Nobody was injured during the robbery.
Davis is being charged with armed robbery and will be booked into the Polk County Jail. Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Lake Wales Police Department at (863) 678-4223.
