POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Richard Hawkins, a 38-year-old from Lakeland, is celebrating a life-changing win after claiming a $2 million top prize from the “TRIPLE 777” scratch-off game. Hawkins opted to receive his winnings as a one-time lump sum payment of $1,280,000.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Wabash Marathon store on Ariana Street in Lakeland. The store will also receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the lucky ticket.

The “TRIPLE 777” game offers players the chance to win over $158.8 million in cash prizes, including eight top prizes of $2 million. With odds of 1-in-3.51, it’s a popular game for those hoping to strike it rich.
