SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla – The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), along with representatives from Sarasota County Schools and Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), are responding to a school bus crash that occurred in the parking lot of the Publix at Blackburn Rd and US41.

Fortunately, there were no children on the bus at the time of the accident. The bus driver has been transported to the hospital for medical attention. FHP is currently investigating the cause of the accident.

There are no road closures as the incident occurred within the parking lot.
