Victor Marshall Nash, a 52-year-old registered sex offender from Miami, was arrested on July 18th on two counts of voting as an unqualified elector.
An investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) revealed that Nash falsely registered to vote in 2018 and subsequently cast illegal ballots in statewide and federal elections.
Nash was previously convicted of felony sexual battery in 2001 and has never had his civil rights restored, making him ineligible to vote.

He was arrested on an FDLE warrant by the Miami-Dade Police Department and is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution.
This arrest marks the second instance since May of a registered sex offender being arrested for illegal voting by the FDLE’s Election Crime Unit. In 2024 alone, 12 individuals have been charged with various election crimes, with 55 charged since the ECU’s inception in 2022.
