Florida witnessed a remarkable turnout for the 2024 elections, with nearly 11 million residents casting ballots, reaching a statewide participation rate of 78.76%, according to the latest data from the Florida Division of Elections.

This impressive figure surpasses the turnout of previous presidential election years, with 77% recorded in 2020 and 75% in 2016, indicating a growing civic engagement among Floridians.

Counties across the state displayed a diverse range in voter participation. Franklin County topped the list with a 94.1% turnout, followed closely by Taylor County at 90.72%.

Meanwhile, the lowest turnout figures were reported in Hardee County at 62.68% and DeSoto County at 63.91%, showing the varying levels of voter activity in different regions.

Experts suggest that heightened interest in both local and national issues may have driven the record-breaking turnout. Election officials and civic organizations have also noted the role of increased voter outreach efforts, expanded voting access, and robust early voting campaigns as contributing factors.
