PASCO COUNTY, Fla. - A family favorite is back!  Pasco County Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources is hosting its Cardboard Boat Race, and you’re invited to join in on all the action!

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A family favorite is back! Pasco County Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources is hosting its Cardboard Boat Race, and you’re invited to join in on all the action!

Race your cardboard creation in the Veterans Memorial Park pool by participating in a timed race across the pool and in the ‘last boat floating’ contest.  Boats can only be built with cardboard, duct tape and paper tubes.

Social groups, families, friends and business are encouraged to join. 

You do not need to register in advance.  Just show up with your boat and be ready to set sail:

Pool opens at 9 a.m. Races begin at 9:30 a.m.

Be sure to cheer on Pasco County team members from Emergency Management, Libraries, Facilities, Fleet and Fire Rescue as they battle it out in a friendly, floating competition.  See you at the pool; may the best cardboard boat win!
