SARASOTA, Fla. – The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the Florida Highway Patrol with a single-vehicle accident located at Tuttle Avenue and 57th Street, Sarasota.
Deputies say there are no injuries.
A Florida Power & Light power pole was damaged in the crash and needed to be temporarily fortified.

As a result, Tuttle Avenue has been shut down between Desoto Road and 59th Street north and south, and traffic is not allowed east or west on Tuttle Avenue either.
The roadway was closed but has since reopened.
