President Joe Biden’s physical, cognitive, and ethical decline is on full display for all to see, which is why an astounding 86% of Americans recently told a pollster that they believe he is too old to serve a second term.

But now, it seems the ageism that rightfully targets Biden is catching up to former President Donald Trump — although voters clearly believe Trump is far more mentally and physically fit than his Democratic rival.

A Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday showed Biden holds a 49-45 lead over Trump. That makes the Quinnipiac poll an outlier among the rest of major pollsters.

The Real Clear Politics average of all polls as of Thursday showed that Trump actually leads Biden 46-44. Meanwhile, polls by agencies other than Quinnipiac compiled over the past two weeks by FiveThirtyEight.com shows that Trump leads Biden in a head-to-head matchup between one point and 10 points.

But Quinnipiac found in its latest offering that voters are wary of the grumpy old men running for president.

The pollster’s survey revealed that 67% of voters think Biden is too old to “effectively” make it through another term, while 57% said the same of Trump.

Trump scored way better on physical presence.

Quinnipiac found that an impressive 60% said Trump has the physical stamina to go through a second term, while just 35% said the same of Biden.

But the majority think neither is mentally sound enough to give it another go — although Trump’s mark was significantly higher.

According to Quinnipiac, a paltry 34% claimed that Biden is mentally fit to serve a second term.

On the other hand, 48% indicated Trump was sufficiently fit mentally to do a return gig at the White House.

“A Biden-Trump split decision on physical and emotional fitness leaves both looking vulnerable,” Quinnipiac University Polling Analyst Tim Malloy said in a press release about the poll.

Yet, he added, “Trump wins walking away on the age and stamina question.”
