Polk State College Athletes Shine in Academics, 14 Named To NJCAA All-Academic Team

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Polk State College is celebrating the academic accomplishments of 14 of its student-athletes who were named to the 2023-24 NJCAA All-Academic Team. This marks the second consecutive year that athletes from all five of Polk State’s sports programs have been recognized for their outstanding academic performance.

The Eagles had an impressive showing with six student-athletes achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA, earning them a place on the first team. Four athletes each earned second and third-team honors, with Polk State Soccer leading the way with six players recognized.

To qualify for the NJCAA All-Academic Team, student-athletes must maintain a GPA of 3.6 or higher for the academic year. This achievement showcases the dedication of these athletes to both their sport and their studies.

The Polk State College community congratulates these outstanding student-athletes on their well-deserved recognition.

  • Second team: 3.8-3.99 GPA
  • Third team: 3.6-3.79 GPA
