PLANT CITY, Fla. – A 27-year-old Plant City man has been charged with leaving the scene of a hit-and-run crash and driving without a license.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet Silverado pickup, was traveling eastbound on SR-574 on Saturday around 8:40 p.m., west of Lindsey Road, when a pedestrian walked into the path of and was struck by the truck.
Following the crash, the driver drove away from the scene only to return to the crash scene two hours later.

FHP Troopers later arrested the driver, identified as Mauro Alfanso Caalmaez, 27, of Plant City, for leaving the scene of the crash with serious injury and driving with no license.
The adult male pedestrian has not been identified at this time and was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
