PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – The Pinellas Park Police Department responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at approximately 9:00 PM tonight in the 7700 Blk of Park Blvd. 

The initial investigation indicates an adult male pedestrian walked into the path of a westbound vehicle on Park Blvd. 

The pedestrian was struck by the vehicle and died as a result of the impact.  Police say the driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

“This investigation is active, but there are no signs that speed or alcohol was a factor in this crash.  Westbound Park Blvd is currently closed at 76th St and is anticipated to be closed for a few hours for the investigation to be completed,” said PPPD.
