PINELLAS PARK, Fla. - The Pinellas Park Police Department responded to the 8300 block of 49th St N for reports of a vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash around 10:33 p.m. on Tuesday.

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – The Pinellas Park Police Department responded to the 8300 block of 49th St N for reports of a vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash around 10:33 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was determined through investigative means a black Dodge Charger was traveling northbound on 49th St N. The pedestrian appeared to be crossing 49th Street N, west to east, midblock.

The front of the Dodge Charger struck the pedestrian while they were in the center lane of northbound 49th St N.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced deceased.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. At this time, no criminal charges are stemming from the incident.
