St. Pete Fla. – The Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners are meeting now to vote on an ordinance that would mandate masks in Pinellas County.

The draft of the ordinance is:

Similarly, the Hillsborough Emergency Planning Group met Monday, with a county-wide mask mandate on the agenda.

With a vote of 5 to 3 , the EPG voted yes on a mask mandate for Hillsborough County. This mandate includes all employees and patrons of indoor businesses to use face coverings. The ordinance does not force people to wear a mask outside.

The Hillsborough mandate goes into effect Wednesday at 5 PM.
