One person is dead after Florida Highway Patrol Troopers say the individual had their head on the tracks, lying down.

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – One person is dead after Florida Highway Patrol Troopers say the individual had their head on the tracks, lying down.

It happened around 3:17 am on Sunday in Kissimmee, Osceola County and Troopers say the medical examiner is trying to identify the body.

According to FHP, the train was heading southbound on the tracks approaching E. Carroll Street North, North of E. Donegan Avenue.

According to investigators, the person head their head on the tracks, lying down and in the direct path of the oncoming train. Troopers say it is not known if the person was sleeping.

The medical examiner’s office will update FHP once they have identified the body.
