The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Mississippi, along with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), were involved in the investigation and prosecution of the case. U.S. Attorney Todd W. Gee and Assistant Special Agent in Charge Anessa Daniels-McCaw of the DEA made the announcement of Clemmons’ guilty plea.

Clemmons now faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison for his crime. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for September 11, 2024, during which a federal district court judge will determine the appropriate sentence based on the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other relevant statutory factors.

The case against Clemmons highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat the distribution of illegal drugs, including methamphetamine, which poses a significant threat to public health and safety.
