In a shocking incident that unfolded at a McDonald’s restaurant in North Carolina, a man has been charged with assault after allegedly attacking employees.
The accused, Dwayne Waden, who is also a pastor at Elevated Life International Ministries, was charged with assault and battery on December 28, 2023.
The incident took place at the McDonald’s located on South Main Street in High Point.

According to reports from High Point police, Waden’s wife, who was working as a manager-in-training at the restaurant, called him for assistance, claiming that employees were disrespecting her.
In response, Waden arrived at the McDonald’s and confronted one of the employees.
Eyewitnesses stated that Waden walked around the counter and put his hands around the cook’s neck, pushing his head towards a deep fryer.
Shockingly, he proceeded to punch the employee multiple times in the face.
It took several courageous employees to intervene and pull Waden away from the victim, who suffered visible injuries, including a large contusion on his forehead, a bruised eye, and scratches on his neck.

Law enforcement authorities swiftly responded to the incident, and officers reviewed the store’s surveillance footage, providing compelling evidence of the assault.
As a result, Waden was arrested and charged with assault and battery. He was later released after posting a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on January 22nd, 2024.
