ORLANDO, Fla. – Dark Horizon 2020 Halloween Event in Orlando has been canceled due to the current Covid-19 pandemic. California based Epic Entertainment Group produces the Dark Harbor, an annual event in Long Beach, California, which has quickly become over the years a grand competitor for other Theme Park Halloween Events as it attracted over 120,000 visitors in its 2018 run.
Epic came to Orlando in 2018 and held a more children-friendly event, but then quickly transformed with Dark Horizon in 2019, a full-scale elaborate event that appeared to have no expenses spared, geared towards adults, with 3 haunted houses, 100’s of scare actors, stage shows, DJ, food, bar areas, and a VIP Lounge.
Held in the back parking lot area of the Holiday Inn (former Nickelodeon Studio Suites Hotel), the first-year event gave a favorable impression. We look for the event to return in 2021.
