One Woman Dead In St. Pete Shooting Sunday

SAINT PETERSBURG, FL. – St. Pete Police are investigating a shooting that left a woman dead Sunday afternoon.

Investigators say that about 1:30 PM police received a call about a shooting at 1253 8th Ave S. in St. Pete.

A woman that was shot, was taken to the hospital and died of her injuries later, according to police.

Police do have a man in custody and is being questioned.

Investigators say that a small child who was in the home at the time of the shooting was not injured.

“This appears to be a domestic-related incident. It is very early in the investigation and we will release further information as it becomes available” said St. Pete Police in a statement.
