TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police Detectives are currently investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of an adult white male in his early 40s.
Just before 2:00 am on Monday, April 15, 2024, Tampa Police responded to the report of a shooting in the 6500 block of Julie St. Officers arrived to find the victim with upper body trauma.
He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries. Next of kin notification is pending.
Police say that while this does not appear to be a random act early in the investigation, detectives are gathering evidence and developing leads in the case.
