SAINT PETERSBURG, Fla. – Saint Petersburg Police Department arrested 24-year-old John F. Grant after a shooting at the Food Max store, located at 1400 18th Ave. S, around 3:15 am Saturday morning.

The victim, 26-year-old Deauntazies L. Ramsey, and Grant were known to each other.  During an argument, Grant shot Ramsey in the Food Max parking lot. 

Ramsey was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where he was pronounced dead. Grant is charged with 2nd-degree murder.

The investigation into the shooting is still active. If anyone has any information, they are encouraged to call detectives at 727-893-7780 or anonymous tips can be sent by texting the letters SPPD and the tips to TIP-411.
