TAMPA, Fla. – Drivers traveling northbound on North Nebraska Avenue between East North Bay Street and East Genesee Street should be aware of a lane closure due to a water main break.

The Tampa Water Department is currently on the scene repairing the break, which has necessitated the closure of the northbound lane. Barricades and signs are in place to reroute traffic and ensure safety in the area.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes and exercise caution while driving near the closure. Modifications to the lane closure may be necessary as repairs progress.

The Tampa Water Department anticipates completing the repairs and returning traffic to normal flow patterns by 5:00 pm on Friday, June 28th. However, they reserve the right to return at a later date for any additional work that may be required. An update will be provided if that becomes necessary.

It’s important to note that work schedules can be impacted by weather conditions. The Tampa Water Department thanks the community for its patience during this time.
