PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Konnor McFadyen, a 17-year-old local pool player, recently won the 2024 APA Junior Pool Championship in Saint Louis.

In the American Poolplayers Association (APA) tournament, he competed against 258 young players from 32 states and Canada.

The finals match was live-streamed and is available for viewing online. McFadyen is an active member of the APA Pool League in New Port Richey, where he honed his skills.

The APA, the world’s largest amateur pool league, sanctions the Junior Championships annually, featuring players aged 7-18.

As the governing body for amateur pool, the APA establishes rules, formats, and handicap systems for the sport and also hosts major tournaments with nearly $2 million in prizes.
