PASCO COUNTY, Fla – A 79-year-old New Port Richey man was killed in a crash around 1:50 pm on Sunday.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving an SUV northbound on US-19. 

Troopers say at the intersection of Sea Ranch Drive, the SUV turned left into the path of and was struck by a pickup truck.

Investigators say both vehicles rotated to a stop in the grass median and west shoulder.

The 79-year-old man suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.

Troopers say the pickup truck driver, a 35-year-old Spring Hill man, and his four passengers, ages 30, 8, 10, and 4, received only minor injuries in the crash.
