HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL. – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash that happened around 6:00 pm Friday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, an SUV was traveling northbound in the left turn lane of Dale Mabry Highway, approaching Broad Street.
Troopers say a motorcycle was traveling southbound in the inside lane of Dale Mabry when at the intersection, the SUV turned left into the path of the motorcycle.
As a result, the motorcycle struck the rear right side of SUV.
Troopers say the driver of the motorcycle died at the scene of the crash. No identifying information was released on the driver, other than it was a male driver who died.
