CLEARWATER, Fla. – Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to an incident at 5:30 this morning in the 2500 block of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard. An adult male was found lying in the middle of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard with serious injuries. He was taken to Mease Countryside Hospital. It is unknown at this time how he sustained those injuries and whether any vehicle was involved. Only one eastbound lane and two westbound lanes were open earlier today.

The victim has been transferred from Mease Countryside to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa for treatment. He remains in critical condition this afternoon and his identity remains unknown.

Detectives are still trying to determine how his injuries were sustained; anyone who may have seen anything around that time at that location should call Clearwater Police at 727-562-4242.
