TAMPA, Fla – Tampa Police are investigating a shooting homicide that happened on Tuesday evening.

Just before 6:00 PM, Tampa Police responded to the 1700 block of E. Idell St for a report that someone had been shot.

Officers arrived to find a deceased adult black male, in his early to mid 20’s, in the front seat of a black Nissan sedan, the victim of upper body gunshot wounds.

“It is very early in the investigation. Detectives are now working to identify potential witnesses in this case and determine who is responsible for this shooting,” said Tampa Police,
