LEE COUNTY, Fla. – A three-year-old girl was reunited with her family today after a brief scare in Lehigh Acres. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) responded to a call reporting the child missing in the area of Joel Boulevard at approximately 4:45 PM.
LCSO deputies from the 2nd Precinct, K9 units, and the Aviation Unit swiftly mobilized to search for the missing toddler. Analysts from the Real Time Intelligence Center (RTIC) also contributed their expertise to the effort.

Within a short time, deputies located the child wandering safely nearby. Body cam footage captured the heartwarming reunion between the little girl and her mother.
Sheriff Carmine Marceno emphasized the urgency of reuniting missing children with their families. “When someone goes missing, time is of the essence. LCSO ensures boots are on the ground as soon as the information is dispatched,” said Marceno. He also highlighted the department’s technology-driven approach, stating, “With our technology-forward policing model and the utilization of our assets, people are being found quicker than ever.”
