LAKELAND, Fla. – Lakeland Police Department K9s Mako and Pantera are now better equipped to protect and serve thanks to a generous donation of bullet and stab protective vests from Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing critical support to law enforcement dogs nationwide.

The vests, embroidered with the touching tribute “In memory of K9 Hobbs, Des Moines, IA – EOW 12/12/23”, are a testament to the unwavering commitment of Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. to safeguarding these brave four-legged officers.

This potentially lifesaving body armor for four-legged K9 officers is U.S.-made, custom-fitted, and NIJ-certified.
